Hospice focuses on comfort and quality of life when a cure is no longer the goal. It adds a team around the patient and family; it does not mean stopping care.
Can VITAS come to my home?
Yes. VITAS care can be provided at home, in a nursing or assisted living facility, or in a hospital as needs change.
How does payment work?
The Medicare Hospice Benefit can cover eligible related care. Medicaid and private insurance coverage vary by plan. Ask our team to review your eligibility and costs.
What if we are not ready to enroll?
A conversation is still worthwhile. We can answer questions, explain what to watch for and help you understand future options without pressure.
